ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and with the consent on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner would state that her husband Thiru
Balachander died intestate on 19.04.2013 and she has got a minor son by name Gokul Balachander aged 8 years. It is the further case of the petitioner that her husband was owning a property admeasuring to an extent of 2280 sqft of vacant house site comprised in Survey No.236/59 situate in Village No.188, Jeladian Pettai, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Patta No.144 and subsequent to his death, she had applied for transfer of patta in respect of the said land vide application dated 22.07.2016 and since the said representation has not been disposed of till date, she is before this Court, by filing the present writ petition.
This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in this writ petition or in the representation dated 22.07.2016, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to Subbulekshmy [mother-in-law of the petitioner] and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the said Subbulekshmy.
The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
