Crl.O.P.No.20474 of 2023 G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., The petitioner namely Ramji, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.07.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 324, 307, 302 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.407 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is innocent and he is falsely implicated in a case registered in Crime No. 407 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 324, 307, 302 and 506(ii) of IPC. Petitioner is in Judicial Custody from 20.07.2023. Thus, he seeks bail to the petitioner.
3. In response, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that, petitioner is the son in law of the defacto complainant. Defacto complainant's daughter was married to the petitioner. It was a love marriage. Despite that, petitioner used to ill treat and harass her wife. Therefore, defacto complainant arranged for their living at his flat in A Block, No.12. Even there after, petitioner under the influence of alcohol used to have frequent fight with her wife. On 20.07.2023 at about 1/4
06.30.p.m., petitioner picked up a fight with his wife Suguna. Suguna escaped from him and took shelter at the house of one Kowsalya, who is the other daughter of the defacto complainant. On hearing her noise, defacto complainant's wife and another daughter Kalki visited there. On seeing them, petitioner had stabbed defacto complainant's wife Vijaya on her left side stomach and also stabbed Kalki on her back. When defacto complainant's son Bharani tried to interfere, he was also stabbed by the petitioner. As a result, Bharani suffered grievous injuries and later died. Investigation in this case is at preliminary stage. Even the postmortem certificate of the deceased Bharani is not yet received.
4. Considering the nature of offence alleged against the petitioner that, he is one who murdered the deceased and caused grievous injuries to other victims and the investigation in this case is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail tot he petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 2/4
