This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to call for the records in D.V.C.No.14 of 2017 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate Court (Additional Mahila Court), Egmore, Chennai and quash the same.

Dr.Anand Narasingam got married to Dr.Divya Natrajan on 27.08.2015 and their marriage ran into a rough weather, resulting in several litigations between them. One such litigation is the proceedings in D.V.C.No.14 of 2017 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate Court (Additional Mahila Court), Egmore, Chennai, filed by Dr.Divya Natrajan under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, against Dr.Anand Narasingam, Rajanie Parimalai and Aarthy.

It appears that the parties have arrived at a compromise and Dr.Divya Natrajan has filed an affidavit dated 26.09.2020, wherein, in paragraph nos.4 and 5, it is stated as follows:

I humbly that based on the deed of compromise all the issues between me and the petitioners herein have been solved amicably. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

I humbly submit that considering the betterment and my further peaceful life and since the matter was amicably settled between us, the continuation of Domestic Violence case proceedings against the petitioners is unwarranted and unsustainable. Therefore, I hereby give my consent and willingness to quash case in D.V.C.No.14 of 2017 on the file of Additional Mahila Court, Egmore, Chennai. I am filing this affidavit voluntarily on my own willingness and without any threat, coercion or influence."
In view of the above, this criminal original petition is allowed and the proceedings in D.V.C.No.14 of 2017 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate Court (Additional Mahila Court), Egmore, Chennai, is hereby quashed against all the respondents therein. Connected Crl.M.Ps. are closed.
