ORDER
This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the the 2nd respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct (Milad-un-Nabi) festival peaceful procession and public meeting on 09.10.2022 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.10.2022 . 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner representing Tamil Nadu Sunnath Jamath, Vellore gave a representation to the 2nd respondent police on 01.10.2022 seeking permission to conduct Milad-un-Nabi festival peaceful procession and public meeting on 09.10.2022. Since the 2nd respondent did not consider his representation dated 01.10.2022, he filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer. He would further submit that since the festival was over, the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that if fresh representation is given fixing new date for public meeting, the same would be considered on merits.
4. Recording the submission of the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the respondent police to consider the representation given by the petitioner for conducting public meeting, if any, in future, and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of such representation. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
