This Contempt Petition has been filed for non-compliance of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.1739 of 2022 dated 28.01.2022. 1/4

The petitioner herein, earlier filed Crl.O.P.No.1739 of 2022 seeking police protection from the respondents 3 to 8. This Court by order dated 28.01.2022 directed the All Women Police Station, Krishnagiri to consider the petitioner's representation and to provide police protection. The petitioner, thereafter, communicated the order to the All Women Police, Krishnagiri on 05.01.2022 and also gave a representation and thereafter, no action has been taken. The petitioner's threat for her life and property continued. Hence, pre contempt notice was issued on 17.08.2022 and thereafter, the present contempt petition has been filed.

The Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station had responded to the petition and submitted that the petitioner and the counter petitioners/the respondents 3 to 8 had been called and appropriate instructions have been given. Thereafter, from 17.02.2022, the All Women Police had placed a patta book near the petitioner's house and police to constantly watch over the petitioner's house and sign the patta book. A copy of the patta book is also produced. 3.1.
It is further submitted that the proper protection for the petitioner for life and property is being provided. 2/4

Learned counsel for the petitioner do not dispute this fact. His only submission is only after filing this petition, the present arrangement has been made.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions would submit that proper protection given to the petitioner would be continued and regular appraisal would be conducted.

Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate and also the counter and explanations given, this Court finds that the order has been complied with. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed.
