O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2025 to transfer files pending before 2nd respondent to any other competent authority of HR and CE.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent and perused the documents placed on record.

3. It is the contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner filed M.P.No.1 of 2022 before the Regional Joint Commissioner, H.R. & C.E Department, Erode under Section 54(1) of the Tamilnadu H.R. & C.E. Act, 1959 for appointment of next line of succession of Arulmigu Rajarajeswari Amman Alias Pudhu Mariamman Temple and the same was dismissed for default on 20.06.2024 despite appearance. Thereafter, the petitioner filed an application to restore the M.P.No.1 of 2022 and the same was not disposed of, hence the petitioner 2/4

made a complaint for transfer of files pending before the 2nd respondent to any other competent authority of HR & CE. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

4. It is the contention of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent that sufficient time may be granted to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's petition, viz., M.P.No.1 of 2022 within a reasonable time

5. In view of the above, this Court hereby directs the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's petition, viz., M.P.No.1 of 2022 within a reasonable time, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of a order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
