The petitioner herein is the defacto complainant in C.C.No.2200503 of 2015 on the file of Judicial Magistrate-II, Coimbatore, fearing danger at the hands of the accused. In that case he has been repeatedly crying for protection and his complaint, though received by the Police, they have not acted upon it therefore, present petition is filed.
2. From the typed set of papers, this Court finds that, on 24.08.2023, the Commissioner of Police has received the online complaint from the petitioner and same was acknowledged. The Commissioner of Police has forwarded the complaint to the concern Police Station, for appropriate action but no action been taken, which has prompted the petitioner to sent repeated representation, since none of his representation been acted upon, he is before this Court. 3. When the matter came up for hearing on 03.11.2023, directed the Government Advocate (Crl.Side) representing for the respondent police, to verify whether the complaint of the petitioner been placed to the notice of the Station House Officer, Singanallur Police Station, Coimbatore.
4. Today (07.11.2023), when the case came up for hearing, the Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the complaint has been received and appropriate arrangement for giving protection to the petitioner been made. However, to make it clear, this Court directs the jurisdictional Police to organise Patrol and Beat in the area of the petitioner herein and ensure that the petitioner is not deterred by the accused in C.C.No.2200503 of 2015 or his henchmen, from giving evidence in the case which is under trial.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. 07.11.2023 Index :Yes/No.
