Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.4.2024 not to issue patta in the name of the respondents 4 and 5 for the lands comprised in Ayan Punjai Survey No.148/1 to an extent of about 1 acre 56 cents situated within the limits of Kariyalur village, Kalvarayanmalai Kallakurichi, as claimed by the petitioner in his application dated 23.4.2024 1/4

2. Heard Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel for the fourth respondent. Despite the private respondent, viz., respondent No.5 was served, he has not entered appearance either in person nor represented through any other Counsel. However, considering the nature of relief that is to be granted herein, notice to the respondent No.5 is dispensed with.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for the following prayer:- i) For issuance of a mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.4.2024 not to issue patta in the name of the respondents 4 and 5 for the lands morefully described in the prayer portion of this order.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the Official Respondents, viz., Respondents 1 to 3 submits that the representation of the 2/4

petitioner would be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within the period, as stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case as projected by the petitioner, either in this Writ Petition or representation, disposes of the Writ Petition with a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.04.2024 and after issuing notice to the private respondents, viz., respondents 4 and 5 and also after hearing the petitioner shall pass final orders disposing of the petitioner's representation on merits in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
