Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the respondent in connection with the impugned order passed by him in Na.Ka.No.Ni(2)/19959/2022 dated 19.09.2022 and quash the same and direct the respondent to furnish the copies of the documents mentioned in the charge memo relating to the charges mentioned in the charge memo dated 21.07.2022 within a reasonable time.

O R D E R

The petitioner has challenged the impugned charge memo dated 19.09.2022 bearing reference No.Na.Ka.No.Ni(2)/19959/2022 issued by the respondent. The challenge to the impugned charge memo is only on the ground that the petitioner has not been served with copies of the relied upon documents to defend himself in the proceedings initiated against the petitioner in terms of the impugned charge memo under Rule 17 (A) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.

2. Heard Mr.P.Jegan Inbarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent.

With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to furnish the relied upon documents to the petitioner within a period of fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the respondent is directed to complete the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner in terms of the impugned charge memo within a reasonable 2/4

period, preferably within a period of six (6) months.
