ORDER

Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to grant renewal of FL2 license bearing license No.24/2015-2016 of the petitioner's Recreation Club pursuant to the representation dated 06.09.2022.

3. This Writ Petition is being disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and after dispensing with the requirement of filing of counter, as no opinion is expressed on merits. Page No. 2 of 4

4. The specific case of the petitioner is that M/s.Vanavil Recreation Club situated at No.9/2, Natesan Nagar, Vellakovil Municipality, Karur Main Road, Kangayam Taluk, Tiruppur District, of which, the petitioner is the President has been regularly issued Form FL2 license by the respondents. However, in the year 2022-2023, the FL2 license has not been renewed though the petitioner has paid the required fees under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Liquor (License and Permit) Rules, 1981 read with the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937.

5. This Writ Petition is therefore disposed of at the time of admission, by directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2022 for renewal of FL2 license of the Recreation Club, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In case, the respondents propose to pass any adverse orders on the aforesaid representation of the petitioner, they shall give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
