The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 25.07.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(A), 4(1)(a) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.530 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is an accused in Crime No.530 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 4(1)(A), 4(1)(a) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. He further submitted that, petitioner is innocent and he is falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 25.07.2023. Thus, he prays for grant of bail. 3.In response, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner was found with illegal possession of 30 litres of illicit liquor at about 19.00 hours on 25.07.2023, near Gangarampalayam check post bus stop. He has eight similar previous cases pending against him. Hence, he prays for dismissal of this petition.

4. This is the 2nd bail petition filed by the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the offence and the fact that the petitioner is having similar previous cases and all the cases are pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
