ORDER

1. The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the Respondents to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 13.08.2024.

2. This court heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the Respondents.

3. The Petitioner is the wife of the convicted prisoner, Nagendran, S/o.Ponnusamy, bearing Convict No.1236, presently lodged at Central Prison, Vellore. The Petitioner raises an apprehension that he may be attacked by the Police Authorities. Since we found that there is no reason to entertain such an apprehension for granting the relief of the Writ of Mandamus, this Writ Petition deserves no further consideration. This Writ Petition, filed based on certain apprehension, cannot be entertained by the High Court in exercise of power of judicial review under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The Petitioner has not produced any materials to establish such an apprehension. Thus, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
