This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent authority to consider the petitioner's representation dated on 16.08.2024 and to grant permission for conducting festival for the period from 07.09.2024 to 14.09.2024 near Sri Angalamman Temple in a grand manner by taking the Vinayakar statue by procession in Eacher, with drums, music and celebrations on the way via main road thereafter, dropping the statue in Hogenakkal River water on 14.9.2024 in a grand manner
2. The Learned Counsel for the petitioner states that he seeks permission from the authorities and issuance of NOC for temporary installation of Vinayagar idol and to celebrate Vinayagar Chathurthi.
3. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent states that since the petitioner has sought permission for installation of Vinayagar Idol from 07.09.2024 to 14.09.2024, which exceeds three days of permissible limit, his application was not considered.

4. The Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the request for installation of Vinayagar idol will be restricted to 07.09.2024 to 09.09.2024.
5. This Court is of the view that, if such request is made by the petitioner herein, for installation of Vinayagar idol for three days, to the respondent police, same may be considered and appropriate order be passed following the G.O.Ms.No.598 Public (Law & Order.B), Department, dated 09.08.2018.
6. With this observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
