3. The Village Administrative Officer, 35-Panduthakkudi Village, Koothanallur Taluk, Tiruvarur. ...Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and dispose the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2024 as to correct the name in the town survey land records.

For Petitioner : Mr.E.Tharun Roshan For Respondents : Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathik Government Advocate 1/4

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 03.06.2024 seeking correction of town survey Register.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the property situated in old Survey Nos.66B/1 and 66B/27, in Lakshamangudi, Koothanallur Taluk, Thiruvarur District was purchased by his mother under registered sale deed dated 30.10.1962. Subsequently, the petitioner's mother executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner and therefore, the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property. In the Town Survey Land Register, the name of the owner has been wrongly mentioned as "Shabeer Ammal" instead of petitioner's mother's name. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 03.06.2024 seeking to delete the name of "Shabeer Ammal" and substitute either his name or that of his mother and the same has not been considered till date. 2/4

Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathik, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

5. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation filed by the petitioner dated 03.06.2024 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to all interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
