ORDER

Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 9.1.2016 and consequently, direct the respondent to revise the Pensionary benefits of the petitioner based on G.O.Ms.No.562 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 28.9.1998.

3. The petitioner, after serving as Secondary Grade Headmaster, retried from service on 30.9.1999. After retirement from service, and after a lapse of 17 long years, it is not known how the petitioner can seek for the benefit of a Government Order that was in existence prior to his retirement, namely, G.O.Ms.No.562 Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

28.9.1998. There is a huge delay and laches on the part of the petitioner and if the petitioner really wanted to seek the benefit of the said G.O., he ought to have filed soon after his retirement, as he failed to do so, he is guilty of huge latches.

4. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for in the Writ Petition at this point of time, and the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
