Cont P Nos.2922, 2923, 3839, 3130 of 2026 N.ANAND VENKATESH.,J When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the affidavit of the respondent viz., the District Collector, Kancheepuram was filed. On going through the same, it is seen that already a proposal has been sent to the Government for sanction of funds for payment of compensation. Hence, the learned counsel for respondent has sought for eight weeks time.

In the considered view of this Court, the matter has been pending for a long time and hence, post these contempt petitions finally under the caption for "Reporting compliance" on 20.02.2026 at 2.15 p.m.
