The Petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the Respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 341, 342, 354D, 354A, 354 IPC r/w.4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime No.279 of 2023 on the file of the Respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the Petitioner and another person misbehaved with the Defacto Complainant. Hence the complaint. 3.Learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that there is no overtact against this Petitioner and it is a put-up case for statistical purpose and the Petitioner has nothing to do with the offence alleged by the prosecution. 4.Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the Respondent Police. 5.
Taking into consideration the facts and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either sides and the nature and gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 11.09.2023 sai https://www.mhc.tn.gov.
