DATED: 17.02.2025

CORAM:

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE R.SUBRAMANIAN AND THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE G.ARUL MURUGAN Contempt Petition No.2804 of 2024 M. Periyasamy ... Petitioner

Versus

Thiru. Muthu Krishnan, The Management, Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation, (Kumbakonam) Ltd., Trichy Region, Trichy 1.

... Respondent PRAYER: Petition filed under Sections 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondent for his willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in WA No.803 of 2024 dated 10.06.2024 and punish them according with law.

For Petitioner : Mr.S.Ramachandran 1/3

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) Disobedience of the order of the Division Bench dated 10.06.2024 is complained of in this Contempt Petition.

2. A perusal of the order of the Division Bench shows that all that the Division Bench has done is confirmed the order of the learned Single Judge. By order dated 23.06.2023, the learned Single Judge had held that the first respondent/workman will be entitled to all consequential benefits flowing down of this order. Hence, if at all there is any contempt it is that of the order of the learned Single Judge and not that of the Division Bench. Leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the learned Single Judge, the Contempt Petition is dismissed.
