O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pass orders for appointment of the petitioners as Village Librarian based on the qualification and experience on par with juniors with all consequential and other attendant benefits, including arrears of salary, in consideration of the representation lastly submitted by the petitioners, dated 03.01.2023, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioners state that they were appointed as Part Time Librarian under the respondents. It is the case of the petitioners that, pursuant to G.O.Ms.No.156, School Education Department, dated 10.09.1998 and G.O.Ms.No.170, School Education Department, dated 17.07.2007, the candidates who have been appointed through Employment Exchange and qualified with CLIS and completed five years of service are being appointed as Village Librarians in various Districts, whereas, the petitioners, who are also qualified and have requisite experience, have not

been appointed regularly as Village Librarian. In this regard, the petitioners have submitted various representations and last such representation on 03.01.2023 to the respondents, seeking appointment as Village Librarian on regular basis on par with their juniors, as done in the case of similarly situated candidates in other Districts. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.Mr.P.Baladhandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submitted that the representation of the petitioner has not been received by the office of the respondents.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader and considering the limited nature of the relief sought for in the present writ petition, this Court directs the petitioners to submit a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of 10 days from the date of this order and on receipt of such representation from the petitioners, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate

orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months thereafter.

6.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
