The Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to register and return the document pending registration bearing Document No.201604207 on the file of the respondent.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had purchased the property situated at Plot No.8, Balaji Nagar, Thaiyur Village, Old Mahabalipuram Road measuring about 1200 sq.ft. On 11.04.2016 from one Mrs.B.Vijayalakshmi through her power agents. Immediately, on execution of the document, the petitioner had presented the same for registration to the respondent on 13.04.2016. On payment of necessary fees, the document was given Pending Document Registration No.20164544. In this regard, the petitioner had caused a legal notice on 08.09.2016 to the respondent. Despite the same, the respondent, neither registered the document nor returned the same. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Heard both sides.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the matter, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the claim of the petitioner for registering the document in Pending Document Registration No.20164544 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders therein, if it is otherwise in order, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
