O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction, directing the respondents to expedite the investigation in Crime No.719 of 2012 and file a final report within a stipulated period.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the 1st respondent and the same was registered in Crime No.719 of 2012 on the file of the 1st respondent police, for the offence punishable under Section 379 IPC. He further submitted that the petitioner came to know that the said case has been transferred to the 2nd https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent Police. Even though he has given the complaint in the year 2012, the respondents have not shown any interest to investigate the same and file a final report. Therefore, he has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief. 3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the case has been transferred to the 2nd respondent and the investigation has been done. After the investigation, jewels have been received but, the accused name has not been shown. Hence, he prays for six months time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

4.Considering the submissions made on both sides, on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, after due enquiry, the case in Crime No.719 of 2012 on the file of the 1st respondent has been registered on 24.07.2012 for the offence under Section 379 IPC. Therefore, the 2nd respondent police is directed to investigate the matter as expeditiously as possible and file a final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
