ORDER

The petitioners have come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioner. 2.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was retired from military service and he is a law abiding citizen. He would further submit that on the basis of the complaint given by one Kaliyammal, the respondents are frequently calling the petitioner and harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.At this juncture, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is involved six cases in Crime Nos.379 of 2015, 484 of 2015, 508 of 2015, 581 of 2015, 430 of 2015 and 40 of 2016. He would further submit that the petitioner is a history sheeted rowdy and his number is 57 of 2015 and because of the incoming elections, he was called for binding over. Hence, he prayed for the dismissal of the petition.

5.Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner is a history sheeted rowdy involved in six crime numbers and because of the incoming elections, he was called for binding over, I do not find any reason for granting direction and the petition deserves to be dismissed as devoid of merits.

6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police on 12.06.2016.
