Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 19.07.2022 pertaining to property bearing Natham Survey No.334/2A located at Kandamanadi Revenue Village, Villupuram Taluk, Villupuram District admeasuring 400 sq.mts within a time frame and pass orders.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the first 1/5

respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 19.07.2022.

2. The learned Government Advocate takes notice for the official respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel appearing for either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the 2nd Respondent had acquired the land and passed an award on 31.08.2021, wherein the compensation amount awarded is very meagre. Being not satisfied with the award passed by the 2nd respondent, the petitioner filed appeal before the first Respondent. However, till date no orders have been passed. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as early as possible.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the 2/5

respondents submitted that the orders will be passed in the appeal filed by the petitioner as early as possible.

6. Considering the limited request made by the petitioners, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 19.07.2021 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as counter parties if any.
