O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to implement the order passed by the second respondent through proceedings dated 15.03.2024.

2. When the matter came up for hearing on 03.09.2024, this Court passed the following order:

"Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the 1st respondent.

2. Mr.V.Logesh, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent submitted that already the process is on and that the 1st respondent is only awaiting for the report from the audit office. The learned counsel therefore sought for four weeks time.

4. Post this case at the end of the motion list on 01.10.2024."

3. The case was once again listed for hearing on 03.10.2024 and the following order was passed by this Court. "When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent and the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the 2nd respondent submitted that the report from the audit office has been received and consequential orders have been passed in favour of petitioners 1, 2 & 6. The relevant proceedings were also placed before this Court and a copy of the same was also served on the learned counsel for the petitioner. They further submitted that insofar as other petitioners are concerned, some time is required to pass consequential orders. 2.Post this case at the end of the motion list on 24.10.2024."

4. Heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel for petitioners, Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for first respondent and Mr.V.Logesh, learned Standing Counsel appearing for second respondent.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that necessary eligibility certificate has been obtained and that the amount will be settled in favour of the other petitioners (except petitioners 1, 2 and 6) within a period of eight (8) weeks from today. Recording the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that the remaining petitioners (except petitioners 1, 2 and 6) get the relief within a period of eight (8) weeks from today. No costs.
