ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to transfer the investigation pending in Cr.No.18 of 2021 on the file of the third respondent to CBCID or any other investigation. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner lodged a complaint on 04.10.2021.

On receipt of the petitioner's complaint, a case in Crime No.18 of 2021 had been registered for offences under Sections 313, 323, 498(A), 506(1) IPC, Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 but no action has been taken. Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Chengalpattu, seems to be in complacent with the accused. Hence, the petitioner sought transfer of investigation.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that now, at the bifurcation of the District, the case was transferred to All Women Police Station, Kanchipuram District and the All Women Police Station, Kanchipuram would take appropriate action and to complete the investigation without any delay. Further, he produced the record and from the record, it is seen that so far, the statement of 12 witnesses have been recorded and the investigation is in progress. 4.In view of the same, the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Kanchipuram to complete the investigation in this case and to file the final report without any delay. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
