W.M.P.No.28812 of 2024 filed to permit the petitioners to file the writ petition jointly is allowed, subject to payment of separate sets of court-fee by the petitioners within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In default of compliance, the order passed in the writ petition shall be applicable only to the first 2/6
petitioner.
2.Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader(HR&CE) takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. Since this Court is not inclined to pass any adverse order as against the respondents 6 to 10, notice to the respondents 6 to 10 is dispensed with. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 4 to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation dated 16.07.2024. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners made representation to the respondents 2 and 4 seeking permission for continuing their religious practices in Arulmigu Sri.Veeramuthaiah Swamy Temple, Kilumatthur, without keeping hundial and collecting offerings from the public and other devotees, however, the same has not yet been considered. 5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners further 3/6
submitted that without going into the merits of the case, this Court may issue direction to the respondents 2 and 4 to consider the petitioners representation dated 16.07.2024 and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.
6.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the fourth respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 16.07.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.This writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
