ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent authority to take appropriate action by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2016 to give police protection and permission to conduct Adal Padal programme in R.Puduppalayam Arulmigu Sree Mariamman Temple Festival, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District on 30.10.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 14.10.2016 by Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due to the respondent police, seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal Programme in connection with R.Puduppalayam Arulmigu Sree Mariamman Temple festival on 30.10.2016.

4. The petitioner is directed to go in person and give a representation to the respondent police and on such representation being given, the same shall be considered by the respondent police and after conducting enquiry with all the factions and subject to the law and order condition in the area, the respondent police may grant or refuse to grant permission and take action in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
