Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the second respondent herein viz the Inspector of Police, Attur, Salem District to conduct enquiry in CSR.No.410 of 2017 dated 25.07.2017 and provide adequate police protection to the petitioner as well the temple situated in Palaniyapuri Village & Post, Bethanayakanpalayam (TK), Salem District and also to ensure peace and security in the said village.

ORDER

This petition has been filed for seeking police protection from the second respondent to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint and it was registered in CSR No.410 of 2017 dated 25.07.2017.

2. Subsequently, the issue was referred before the concerned Tahsildar. The Tahsildar conducted enquiry between the petitioner and the rival group and they have settled the issues/settled themselves amicably. However, it is also seen that the disputed temple has been taken over by the Hindu Religious Charitable Board for the administration.

3. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
