ORDER

(The order of the Court was made by J.Nisha Banu,J.) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records and quash the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in RO-VLR/530/2025-CAMP(A) dated 27.06.2025 and direct the respondents to grant 30 days ordinary leve without escort to the petitioner husband, Convict Prisoner Mr.Sivamani S/o Kesavan, PIDNo.690085, now confined in 3rd respondent, Cuddalore Central Prison for the purpose of making arrangements to repair the house and for admission of the child in the school.

2. Heard both sides and perused the material available on record.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would state that the petitioner is a life convict and only recently, he was granted 28 days leave by the DIG of Prisons i.e., in June,2025.

4. On perusal of records, it is seen that the detenu is a life convict

and only recently, by proceedings dated 27.06.2025, the Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Vellore, had granted 28 days ordinary leave to the convict. Now, the petitioner had come before this Court seeking leave for her husband/convict for 30 days within a period of two months.

5. Considering the above factual aspects of the case, we are not inclined to entertain this petition. Hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
