ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
The writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to pay the arrears of difference of Gratuity amount of Rs.84,240/- and difference of leave salary amount of Rs. 6,485/- to the petitioner, as communicated under Right to Information Act 2005, along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, payable from the date of retirement, in the light of judgment passed by this Court dated 18.10.2024 in W.P.No. 30627 of 2024, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

The case of the writ petitioner is that, he was appointed as Conductor in the respondent Corporation on 08.05.1987 and after rendering unblemished service, he retired from service on 31.10.2019. Thereafter, on 10.03.2025, the petitioner has sought for information under Right to Information Act, 2005 about the dues payable to him after settlement of terminal benefits. On 21.05.2025, the respondents, in reply to RTI query, sent
a communication to the petitioner with the particulars of dues payable to him. In this connection, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents dated 09.07.2025, requesting them to make payment of dues and the same is pending. Hence the petition.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would fairly submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and in accordance with law within a reasonable time. 5.
Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.07.2025, and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law. Further, if the respondents, arrives at a conclusion that there are dues payable to the petitioner, then the respondents are directed to pay the same along with 6% interest per annum for the belated payment of
terminal benefits from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 7.
In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
