This Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the Special Court for Domestic Violence Act cases, Coimbatore to dispose DVA No.64 of 2020 within a stipulated period of time.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondent/wife had filed Domestic Violence Case in Application No.64 of 2020 before the Special Court for Domestic Violence Act Cases, Coimbatore, seeking a relief to return the gold ornaments weighing 200 sovereigns from the petitioner/husband. The case is pending from 2020 without any progress. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. I have considered the matter in the light of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4.On perusal of the docket order, it appears that the case is of the year 2020 and now, it is pending at the stage of examination of witnesses, the Special Court for Domestic Violence Act Cases, Coimbatore is directed to dispose of the DVA No.64 of 2020 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
