PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.,to direct the respondent to provide sufficient police protection on the petition of the petitioner dated 13.10.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Ganeshan For Respondents: Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz Addl. Public Prosecutor for R1

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to provide sufficient police protection to the petitioner, based on the representation dated 13.10.2017.

2. It is seen that the representation given is of the year 2017. Now, almost two years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
