ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to set aside the order dated 27.06.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.No.4347 of 2025, by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge at Cuddalore and to relax the condition imposed in Crl.M.P.No.1321 of 2025 dated 17.02.2025.

Initially, the petitioner has filed Crl.M.P.No.53 of 2025 before the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Cuddalore District, Cuddalore, for grant of bail as against the accused in Crime No.1 of 2024 for the offences under Sections 465, 468, 472, 471 read with 5(11) of IPC and the same was subsequently altered into Sections 120-B, 201, 465, 468, 472, 471 read with 5(11) of IPC. The learned Principal District and Sessions Judge has also granted bail with certain conditions. One of the condition is that the petitioner has to appear before the respondent-Police daily at 10.30 am, until further orders.

Subsequently, the petitioner has field a petition in Crl.M.P.No.1321 of 2025 seeking to relax the said condition and the same was also allowed vide order dated 17.2.2025 and the condition was modified to the effect that the petitioner has to appear before the respondent-Police every first day of the English Calendar month till filing of charge sheet.

The petitioner has also filed another application in Crl.M.P.No.4347 of 2025 for further modification of the condition and the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge dismissed the same, vide impugned order dated 27.6.2025. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed this criminal original petition.
5. On a reading of the materials available on record, it is seen that the charge sheet has not yet been filed by the respondent-Police and the investigation is still pending. In the cases of this nature, conditions imposed by the learned District Judge is usually reasonable. Considering the abovesaid facts and also considering the serious nature of offence, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order passed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge. However, the respondent-Police is directed to expedite the 3/5
investigation in Crime No.1 of 2024 and file a charge sheet within a reasonable time.
6. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
