ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and with the consent on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.

The petitioner would state that he is the absolute owner of the property situate in Old Survey No.302/5, New Survey No.676/8, Vellanore Village and after conducting property enquiry,the respondent has issued the petitioner with a patta in Patta No.449 under Grama Natham Nilavari Scheme and the petitioner has also been issued with a Family Card and that he has been paying the statutory levies regularly. To the shock and surprise of the petitioner, the patta bearing No.449, was in the name of one Chandran, S/o.Marimuthu Reddy ; whereas the petitioner's name is Marimuthu, S/o.Chandran. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation on 23.08.2016 seeking correction of the name by enclosing relevant documents and though the said representation has been received and acknowledged, the petitioner is yet to he favoured with any kind of response. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court, by filing the present writ petition.

This Court, considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in this writ petition or in his representation, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
