Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the appeal petition filed by the petitioner dated 07.07.2023. For Petitioner : Mr.Dayalan. S for G.Ilamurugu.

The petitioner herein seeks issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the Appeal Petition filed by the petitioner dated 07.07.2023 and pass orders on merits within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Though, the petitioner seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the Appeal allegedly filed by the petitioner on 07.07.2023, the copy of the said Appeal is not included in the typed set of papers. In the typed set of papers, the petitioner only included a petition filed by him under Section 64(1) of HR & CE Act on 07.07.2023 before the Deputy Commissioner, Chennai. The said Authority is not arrayed as party to this writ petition. Further, there is no post of Deputy Commissioner in the hierarchy of Authorities under the HR 2/4

& CE Act. In such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. However from the averments found in the affidavit it appears that the petitioner has got some grievance with regard to the appointment of non-hereditary trustee to Maha Mariamman Temple, Perumathur Village, Kunnam Taluk, Perambalur District. If the petitioner has got any special rights in respect of the above said temple, it is for him to file appropriate application before the 1st respondent, seeking appropriate relief. 3.With these observations, the writ petition stands dismissed.
