till the date of his retirement on 30.11.2024 and regularise his service by relaxing the rules from date of initial appointment on the basis of similar and juniors persons seniority in the light of the order made in G.O.(2D).No.33, Environment, Climate change and Forest (FRII) Department dated 03.03.2025 for confer all consequential retirement and pensionary benefits to the petitioner and the same was sent a proposal to the 4th respondent and grant such other relief.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to settle the terminal benefits to the petitioner, by regularising the service rendered by him in the post of Plot Watcher and also the service rendered by him in the regular post as Mali, in the light of the order made in G.O.(2D).No.33, Environment, Climate change and Forest (FRII) Department dated 03.03.2025 The case of the petitioner is that, he was initially appointed as

Plot Watcher on 01.04.1980 on daily wage basis. Thereafter, he was appointed as Mali in the regular post vide proceedings dated 18.02.2014. After rendering unblemished service, he retired from service on 30.11.2024. Thereafter, the petitioner has sent representation to the respondents dated 30.11.2024, seeking settlement of monetary benefits. However, no action has been taken. Aggrieved by which, the petitioner has again sent representation to the 1st and 2nd respondent through his Advocate dated 18.06.2025, and the same is yet to be considered. Hence seeking for a mandamus, the petitioner has come before this Court.

Learned Additional Government Pleader would fairly submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered within a reasonable time.

Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the fair submission made by the learned Additional

Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the abovesaid representation of the petitioner and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
