M/S.The Official Liquidator,High Court Madras v. Nil

Comp.A.No.334 of 2024 Comp.A.No.334 of 2024 in C.P.No.167 of 2001 K.KUMARESH BABU.J., This Company Application has been filed seeking for the following reliefs:- (a) To take this Report on record, (b) To permit the Official Liquidator to open a separate dividend account with Punjab National Bank, NSC Bose Road, Chennai -3 for a sum of Rs.16,93,833/- exclusively for disbursement to M/s.Simpson & General Finance Company Ltd., Chennai -2.;

(c) To permit the Official Liquidator to keep the dividend account open for 1 month from the date of opening and thereafter to remit the unclaimed amount, if any, to the Registrar of Companies, Tamil Nadu, Chennai under Section 555(1) and (3) of the Companies Act, 1956;

(d) To pass such order/s as this Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

3. I have perused the contents of the Report filed by the Official Liquidator upon which the application had been made before this Court and having been satisfied with the reasons stated therein, I am inclined to allow this application as prayed for.
