Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to consider the representation given on 06.08.2024.

O R D E R
The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.08.2024.
2. The petitioner herein filed an application before the first respondent seeking issuance of patta in his name in respect of the property with an extent of 0.56 cents in S.No.207/2A at Guduvancherry Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District after deleting the name of the private respondents. The said application of the petitioner was dismissed by the Thasildar on 05.07.2024. Not being satisfied with the dismissal order, the petitioner submitted a representation before the very same authority namely, the first respondent seeking cancellation of the order. The first respondent has no power to review his own order. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the first respondent, it is for him to file an appeal before the Appellate Authority namely, the Revenue Divisional Officer. The representation given by the petitioner before the original authority namely, the first respondent cannot be considered by him and hence, this Court is not 2/4
inclined to issue any positive direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner. Consequently, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to file an appeal before the Appellate Authority namely, the Revenue Divisional Officer. The petitioner is granted two weeks time to file an appeal before the Appellate Authority from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. 26.09.2024 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order dna To The Tahsildar Tahsildar Office Poonneri Taluk Tiruvallur District.
