ORDER

The petitioner herein had predominantly raised the ground of latches in filing final report to quash the First Information Report.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the First Information Report which came to be registered on 19.07.2017, is kept pending without adequate progress. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In my view, such ground cannot be sufficient to quash the First Information Report. Nevertheless, the respondents are directed to file a final report in order to complete the investigation within a stipulated time at the ends of justice.

3. In the light of the above observation, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation in Cr.No.1090 of 2017 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, E-1, Mylapore Police Station, Mylapore, Chennai, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
