ORDER

This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to register a case based on petitioner's complaint dated 07.03.2016, investigate the same and file a final report before concerned Court within a stipulated time.

2. Heard Mr.S.Ramesh, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Public Prosecutor, has submitted that the complaint dated 07.03.2016, was received by the second respondent, the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore on 08.03.2016 through post. However, the first respondent, the Inspector of Police on receipt of the complaint, had not taken any action to register the same and investigate. Additional Public Prosecutor has also submitted that the Inspector of Police may be directed to register the case and to investigate the same.

4. Taking into consideration of the above fact, the first respondent, the Inspector of Police attached to Thudiyalur Police Station, Thudiyalur is directed to register a case based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 07.03.2016. If any cognizable offence is made out, the first respondent Police is directed to investigate the same and file a final report before the concerned Court within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
