(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the proceedings in the Crime No.6 of 2017 on the file of the 1st respondent police.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Counsel for the Government (Crl. Side) would submit that after completing the investigation, the respondent police filed final report and the same was taken up in C.C.No.63 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate-I, Ariyalur and the case has ended in acquittal on 11.02.2020. Thereby, the petition has become infructuous.

3. Recording the submissions of the learned Counsel for the Government (Crl. Side), the Criminal Original Petition is closed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
