ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking for a direction directing the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.1584/2015, under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC and file a final report at the earliest.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.1584 of 2015 has been registered on 01.12.2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC and investigation is going on and hence, he prays for six months time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

4. Considering the submissions made on both sides and also considering the fact that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, after due enquiry, the case in Crime No.1584 of 2015 has been registered as early as on 01.12.2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.1584/2015 and file a final report, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
