Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining in P/Thondamuthur/49/2024 issued by the second respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the second respondent to register the sale deed dated 05.08.2024 produced by the petitioner. 1/4

O R D E R

Challenging the order passed by the second respondent keeping the sale deed presented by the petitioner dated 05.08.2024, as a document pending for registration, the petitioner has came before this Court.

2. The petitioner purchased the subject property through a sale deed dated 26.12.20211 and he sold the property to one James on 03.08.2024 and presented the sale deed for registration. The second respondent has passed the impugned order keeping the documents pending for the purpose of detailed perusal of the document. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The Sale deed was executed by the petitioner on 03.08.2024 and the same was presented for registration on the same day. The impugned order was passed by the second respondent on 05.08.2024 on the ground that the documents requires detailed perusal. It is not open to the respondent to keep the document pending indefinitely. Thereafter, the second respondent is 2/4

directed to take a decision with regard to the registration of sale deed dated 05.08.2024, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
