ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner was in friendly term with Renuka, who is his classmate. The said Renuka had been married and have two children. Thereafter, some misunderstanding, she is living separately and had some disturbance in the family life. Hence, the petitioner used consoling words and showed pity on her, which has been wrongly understood by Renuka. Thereafter, she insisted him to marry the petitioner, for which the petitioner refused. Hence, she gave false complaint against the petitioner as if she had married him. On receipt of the complaint, CSR No.362 of 2021 assigned. those facts, however, the respondent police again called for enquiry. Hence, the above petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in this case, one Renuka lodged a complaint against the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner had married her four years prior. Now, the petitioner has deserted her, for the reason, she lodged a complaint. The respondent police asked the said Renuka to produce the marriage proof. For the said purpose, the complaint is kept pending.

4.In view of the same, the second respondent police is directed to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
