Heard the Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Learned Counsel for the Respondents 1 to 4.
2. The petitioner's father applied for electricity service connection for the Agricultural land in S.No.150/1, situated in Nayaganai Priyal Village, Udayarpalayam Taluk, Ariyalur District, as early as 07.01.1999. On demise of his father, the application was transferred to the name of the petitioner herein. Even after 10 years, the petitioner was not provided with free electricity service connection. Hence, he has filed the present Writ Petition.
3. In the counter filed by the 3rd respondent, it is stated that the application of the petitioner's father was registered as No.432 and after the demise of the petitioner's father, the application was transferred in the name of the petitioner in the year 2005. The petitioner's father was informed to be ready with all accessories but in view of the death of the original applicant, there was some delay. Now the seniority of the petitioner's application is ranked as No.8, on 19.09.2019.
4. The Learned Counsel for the respondents submits that, the tower construction and drawing of line to provide service connection to the petitioner's property is in advance stage and by the end of December - 2019, the petitioner will be provided with electricity service connection.
5. Recording the above statement, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
