Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to change the Revenue records viz., patta, chitta and adangal in favour of the petitioner in respect of land in Survey Nos.83/1E3, 88/1E3, 88/4A, 88/4B, 88/4C, 88/7, 89/1B, 89/1C, 90/1B & 91/2 at Kottagoundampatti Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2024.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 20.07.2024 seeking mutation of revenue records in his name in respect of property situated in S.Nos.83/1E3, 88/1E3, 88/4A, 88/4B, 88/4C, 88/7, 89/1B, 89/1C, 90/1B & 91/2 at Kottagoundampatti Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District.

2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property was acquired by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board in the year 1992. The said notification was quashed by this Court order dated 18.08.2022. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 27.07.2024 before the first respondent seeking restoration of the revenue records in his name, the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5

Mr.U.Baranidaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, after issuing necessary notice to the Requisition Body namely, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.07.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the Requisition Body, Tamil Nadu Housing Board.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
