ORDER

This Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents for having violated the order passed in WP No.6839 of 2017 dated 03.06.2024.

2.While allowing the above said Writ Petition, this Court set aside the impugned orders passed by the respondents and directed the respondents to accord notional promotion and other consequential benefits and settle the retirement benefits and revise the pension of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. 3.During the course of hearing today, Mr.M.Sureshkumar, learned counsel for the respondents has placed a copy of the Government Order issued in G.O.(2D) No.391, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Services Wing, Ser.2(1) Section dated 12.06.2025 and would submit that the order of the Court has been complied with by issuing the said Government Order.

4.On perusal of the said Government Order, this Court is satisfied that the order of the Court is complied with.

5.The learned counsel for the petitioner has also endorsed the same. However, there was a delay in implementing the order of this Court. 6.The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the Writ Appeal filed by the respondents against the Single Judge order was dismissed on 18.03.2025 granting six weeks time to implement the order. As such, he submits that there was no huge delay in implementing the order and the limited delay occurred due to the administrative reasons in

processing the file.

7.Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the respondents, this Court intends to take a lenient view towards the delay occurred in implementation of the order of this Court.

8. Considering the fact that the order of the Court is complied with in true letter and spirit, in our considered view, no further adjudication is required in this Contempt petition. Accordingly, this Contempt petition is closed. Subsequently, Sub Appln. No.1122 of 2024 is also closed.
