The prayer sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 10.02.2017.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Board and perused the records.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband was expired on 26.05.2016 due to electrocution while he was returning to the house. Since the death occurred due to the negligence on the part of the respondents board, the petitioner's brother-in-law has made a complaint before the Kamanaicken Palayam Police Station on 26.05.2016 and the same was registered in Crime No.232 of 2016 under Section 174 Crpc. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has further submitted that petitioner has made representation dated 10.02.2017 to the 2nd respondent for compensation of Rs.25,00,000/- for the death of her husband and the same is pending, hence the present writ petition.
4. Mr.Abdul Kalam, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Board has submitted that the 2nd respondent will consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in the writ petition, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the meantime, the writ petitioner is also directed to produce the relevant documents, if any, in support of her claim to the 2nd respondent, within a period of two weeks.
6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
