(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 2 to dispose of the second appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 27.06.2022 as per the G.O.Ms.No.147, Revenue Department, dated 17.03.2016 and to proceed with the enquiry regarding genuineness of social status and verification of Kurichchan (ST) community of the petitioner and his children namely 1.Shashank and 2.Sahana (Letter No.12143/CV.3(2)/20222/6
1, dated 16.08.2022) that they belong to Kurichchan (ST) Community. 2.According to the petitioner, he has preferred an appeal before the first respondent/Tamil Nadu State Level Scrutiny Committee for the issuance of community certificate in the light of G.O.Ms.No.147, Revenue Department, dated 17.03.2016. The said appeal is still pending before the first respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the writ petition.
3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer as sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent/Tamil Nadu State Level Scrutiny Committee, to consider the appeal dated 27.06.2022 of the petitioner, on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as early as possible, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
