O R D E R

Heard Mr. W.M.Abdul Majeed, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, Learned Special Government Pleader who takes notice for the First and Second Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

In view of the order proposed to be passed, which would not cause any prejudice to the Third to Ninth Respondents, notice to them is dispensed with. 3.

The Petitioner has sought for a direction to the First Respondent to dispose the appeal in A.P. No. 102/2022-D2 filed before the First Respondent under Section 54(4) of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. 2/6

Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the First and Second Respondents, on instructions, states that the appeals are taken up on seniority basis by the First Respondent and the appeal in this case is posted on 19.10.2022 for next hearing.

In such circumstances, the First Respondent shall endeavour to take up the appeal on the said date and after hearing the concerned parties following the prescribed procedure, pass any order, interim or final, as may be deemed fit and proper in accordance with law. It is expected that the concerned parties shall extend their fullest co-operation for expeditious disposal of the appeal before the First Respondent.

In fine, the Writ Petition is ordered on the aforesaid terms. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs. 13.10.2022 vjt Index: Yes/No Note: Issue order copy by 22.11.2022.
